Patrick Mouratoglou is the latest to break his social media silence after Naomi Osaka confirmed they had ended their professional relationship last night. The two had first joined forces in September of last year, with the Japanese tennis star replacing Wim Fissette, now working alongside Iga Swiatek, for the former coach of Serena Williams. The hope was that he might be able to help spearhead her return to the apex of tennis after her struggles to instantly thrive after her break from tennis, but it has clearly proved unsuccessful.Alas, there seems to be no hard feelings between the two, both of whom have now sent their respective messages on social media to one another.Photo by Tim Clayton/Getty ImagesThe 27-year-old was first, with Osaka releasing the initial statement confirming her split with Mouratoglou. He was quick to follow suit.Patrick Mouratoglou reacts after splitting with Naomi OsakaTaking to Instagram, the renowned coach, who is ever-present on social media, offering tips and tricks to aspiring tennis players, got serious. After all, this marked the end of a ten-month partnership, even if it did not bring any titles at the 250 level or beyond. There are plenty of factors that could explain why this partnership brought little success, but it’s not worth speculating.
