Rashid Khan's MI Cape Town are all set to take on two-time defending champions, Aiden Markram's Sunrisers Eastern Cape in the finals of the 2025 edition of SA20. The match will be played at the Wanderers Stadium in Johannesburg from 9 pm IST.

Sunrisers will be eyeing a third successive title, after having won the first two editions of SA20, while MI Cape Town will be featuring in the final for the first time.

Both sides are in brilliant form. While Cape Town is on a six-match winning streak, Sunrisers, who began their title defence with three successive losses, have won their last three games heading into the finals.

The Johannesburg stadium has been a heaven for pacers, making scoring difficult, with an average of 7.61 runs per over in five matches. In the last match played at this venue, the Durban Super Giants posted 173 batting first and the Joburg Super Kings overcame the 147-run target (DLS) in the final over (16th).

While pacers get good movement and spinners find some turn, batters are required to work hard for runs but benefit from the height helping in big hits. Of the four completed games, three were won by chasing sides, making fielding first the preferred choice after winning the toss.
