He covered a number of topics from the GOAT debate, to Lionel Messi and his former managers.

There was one comment that immediately jumped out to fans about a former manager.

He has been coached by some of the all-time greats like Sir Alex Ferguson, Carlo Ancelotti and Jose Mourinho.

Ronaldo has been not so fond of some others though.

He said: "I learned from all my coaches. I had some really bad ones. Guys who don't have a f***ing clue about football..."

Ronaldo did not name any names, but one name came to the mind of fans immediately.

One wrote on X: "Definitely talking about Ten Hag."

Another added: "Somewhere, Ten Hag just felt a disturbance in the force."

A third wrote: "Erik ten Hag is that you?"

The pair famously fell out at Manchester United during the five-time Ballon d'Or winner's second stint at Old Trafford.

It all culminated with a bombshell interview with Piers Morgan that spelled his end at United, before heading to the Saudi Pro League.

"The coach didn't have respect for me," Ronaldo said in 2022.

"So this is why the relationship, it's in that way. He keep saying in the press that he come to me, he like me blah, blah, blah, but that is only for the press, 100 per cent.

"If you don’t have respect for me, I'm never going to have respect for you."

Ronaldo also went on to make a number of stinging criticisms about the club itself.

Fast forward more than two years and he has been proved right about many things.

Ten Hag is no longer Man United manager after being sacked earlier this season.

Ronaldo has gone on to keep smashing in the goals for Al Nassr as he approaches his 40th birthday.

His longevity has been unbelievable and, unsurprisingly, he believes he is the greatest player of all-time.

"I think I'm the most complete football player that has ever existed," he said.

"People could like Messi, Maradona or Pele, and I respect it, but I'm the most complete.

"I'm the best player in football history. I haven't seen anyone better than me in football history and I'm saying truth from my heart."

talkSPORT host, and Rangers legend, Ally McCoist was not so sure though.

He argued that it was impossible to compare across generations.

He said on Breakfast: “I've got news for you. I'm a coach who thinks Cristiano Ronaldo's wrong.

“If you're the best, you don't need to tell anybody you're the best.

“I keep saying to all my boys, it's impossible to compare because it is effectively a different game.

“I keep saying to them watch the documentary on Maradona and just have a look at the brutality of some of the tackles that were flying about.

“I'm not saying it's not a good thing that it's not in the game anymore, but what I'm saying is, it'd be a different Ronaldo playing in that period and a different Messi playing in that period when they were getting kicked off the park.”

With more than 900 goals for club and country across his career it's hard to argue that he is among the greatest to ever play the game.
