Jersey batter creates history with Challenge League innings

Young Jersey batter Asa Tribe broke a three-year ICC Cricket World Cup Challenge League record by scoring the highest individual score in the history of the event.

Tribe smashed a brilliant 175 for Jersey during their massive ICC CWC Challenge League A victory over Papua New Guinea at St Martin, surpassing the previous best of 141 that teammate Nick Greenwood managed against Italy in 2022.

The 21-year-old came to the crease with his team in trouble at 3/1 and things looked grim when they fell to 15/4 in the fourth over, but he continued to score freely to help Jersey post a total of 261 that proved way too much for Papua New Guinea as they were all out for 101 in reply.
