Manchester United are still looking for their first win of the season, and they could finally break their duck against Burnley.

The Red Devils showed a lot of promise in their Premier League opener against Arsenal. They were the better side in the game but ended up losing 1-0.

Then, United started well against Fulham and even took the lead. But Emile Smith Rowe’s equaliser in the 73rd minute cost them a win.

Now, following the embarrassing defeat to Grimsby, Ruben Amorim’s side have the chance to bounce back against newly-promoted Burnley on Saturday.

Manchester United should back themselves to beat Burnley at Old Trafford.

The Clarets beat Sunderland last weekend and followed that up with a victory in the Carabao Cup against Derby County midweek.

Scott Parker’s men will have seen United’s recent struggles and fancy their side’s chances of getting a result, but Amorim will know that his team have to step up and deliver now.

Manchester United legend Gary Neville was asked to predict the result of the game on the Stick to Football podcast along with Roy Keane and Ian Wright among others.

Here’s how their conversation went:

Gary Neville: “2-0 United.”

Roy Keane: “No chance!”

Ian Wright: “You’re not having United beat them?”

Roy Keane: “Yeah, but 2-1. We’ll give Burnley a goal away. 2-1, Burnley will score.”

Ian Wright: “Definitely Burnley will score.”

Scott Parker delivers verdict on Manchester United’s players

Manchester United’s players have come under a lot of criticism this week, and rightly so.

Losing to Grimsby in the manner they did is absolutely unacceptable for a club as big as United, and every player who took part needs to have a long look in the mirror.

Scott Parker, however, is not taking this game lightly, and he has claimed that Manchester United have enough quality to beat them.

He said, as per Burnley’s official website: “Look, fundamentally, first and foremost, we’re playing against an exceptional, historic football club. They have immense quality in their side, which we’re fully aware of.

“You only have to see their front line and what they’ve done over the summer. They’ve got some exceptional players – and players that can change games at any moment, really.”
