Bayern Munich star Mathys Tel has sent a clear transfer message amid links with a host of Premier League clubs, including Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham.

The 19-year-old looks set to leave the Bundesliga club before the end of the January transfer window, with numerous reports stating he has decided to move on. The trio of London clubs have been named as potential destinations, as well as the likes of Manchester United.

Tel was on the bench for the last three Bayern games, but started the Champions League clash against Slovan Bratislava on Wednesday evening. However, he was replaced just after the hour mark, with his replacement Kingsley Coman going on to net later on in the match.

Following the game, the French star looked to give the clearest indication yet about his future as he appeared to say goodbye to the home fans at the Allianz Arena. The 19-year-old went to the home fans, giving away his coat to one lucky fan before shaking hands and taking selfies with a number of supporters.

The gesture seems to suggest that a move could be imminent, with the club still having a home game against Holstein Kiel on Saturday before the window closes on Monday.

One of the key demands for Tel after opting to leave Bayern is a guarantee on the amount of playing time he will receive, with a lack of minutes one of his primary reasons for an exit.

football.london understands if Chelsea were to receive any form of encouragement from Bayern that the player was for sale in this window, then the Blues would have no hesitation when it comes to making an official offer.

Tel may be one option the Gunners are considering, among rumours linking them with a big-money move for Aston Villa striker Ollie Watkins.

Spurs, meanwhile, are trying to sign at least one more player before the end of the January transfer window to bolster Ange Postecoglou's options, with goalkeeper Antonin Kinsky the only arrival so far despite a number of injury issues across the pitch.
