Charlie Weis makes bold Jaxson Dart claim - as Ole Miss QB rises up NFL draft boards

The stats, the height, the weight, the arm strength, the ability to process, the escapability, the moxie, the accuracy, the smarts. Every aspect of anything that has to do with playing quarterback is dissected, inside and out. Jaxson Dart, like all the other prospects in the NFL Draft, has been put through the ringer.

All of all the analysis is designed to find out one answer above all others: Can he win games for us?

A former college head coach and NFL offensive coordinator firmly believes Dart makes the grade.

“I watched every single game for the whole time he was playing, I watched every play of every game against every opponent,’’ Charlie Weis told The Post. “I know if I was coaching in this league, and this is no disrespect to Cam Ward or [Shedeur] Sanders because I think they’re both heckuva players. But I know if I was coaching in the league right now I’d want him as my quarterback. Because I already know what I’m getting on the field and I know what I’m getting off the field and I know I can win with him.’’
