Working together, LFC and Women in Football will create a bespoke package of opportunities to build on LFC’s existing Red Together strategy, which supports equality in the workplace.

Services available will include group workshops to raise awareness and drive change around gender inclusion, access to the latest industry insights relating to football workforces, direct support for the female workforce with group coaching and mentoring by Women in Football’s expert consultants, plus places on the Women in Football leadership course.

April Tomlinson, senior vice-president, people and culture at Liverpool FC, said: “We’re delighted to join Women in Football’s club membership programme and offer this opportunity to our female workforce. This is a great opportunity for our people.

“We’re proud of the work we already do through our Red Together strategy and pleased we can build on this with Women in Football’s support and mentoring. Red Together is our commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion and encompasses everything we do internally and externally.”

Women in Football CEO Yvonne Harrison added: “I’d like to extend a very warm welcome to Liverpool Football Club. Having a club of Liverpool’s stature among our club members demonstrates the importance of Women in Football’s work, as well as our growing influence in the game.

“It’s great news for the club and its workforce and we are delighted we can add value to their existing work in building a great environment for their team to thrive.

“We know organisations perform at their best when their culture is as inclusive as possible, and we’re looking forward to supporting Liverpool to become the most gender-equal employer they can be.”

Women in Football is a professional network of around 12,000 people of all genders who support equality in the football industry. Its club membership programme launched in 2021.
