As per a report in news.com.au, the tragic incident took place during a match between Old Concordians and Prince Alfred Old Collegians at Concordia College in Adelaide.Cricketer dies on pitch due to heat waveJunaid Zafar Khan, who moved to Australia from Pakistan in 2013, collapsed on the pitch while batting for Old Concordians on Saturday when the temperature was reportedly around 41.7 degrees Celsius. Paramedics tried to revive Junaid Zafar Khan, who is in his 40s, but their efforts did not have the desired result.“We are deeply saddened by the passing of a valued member of the Old Concordians’ Cricket Club, who tragically suffered a medical episode while playing on the Concordia College oval today,” Old Collegians said in a statement.Advertisement“Despite the best efforts of paramedics, he sadly did not survive. Thoughts and heartfelt condolences are with his family, friends and teammates during this difficult time.”As per reports, Junaid worked in the tech industry after moving from Pakistan to Adelaide.
