The Kansas City Chiefs moved to 3-3 with a 30-17 win over the Detroit Lions on "Sunday Night Football."

It has been a frustrating season for the Chiefs, but getting a win over last year's top seed in the NFC is a big statement.

Patrick Mahomes threw for 257 yards with three touchdowns and a rushing score to lead them to victory.

Jared Goff threw for 203 yards with a pair of scores, but the Chiefs' offense was too much for Dan Campbell's team to deal with.

After the game, a brawl ensued after Lions safety Brian Branch denied Mahomes a handshake and slapped JuJu Smith-Schuster in the face.

As the dust settled, Mahomes didn't take long to make his first post on X following a big win.

"#EGE," Mahomes wrote. He then posted "Thank you God!" before reposting the Chiefs' win graphic with a clock emoji.

EGE is "Everybody Gotta Eat," which is what Chiefs WR Rashee Rice posted on his X account in the days leading to the game.

Mahomes also reposted several highlight plays from the game.

Mahomes also spoke about the win in a postgame interview with NBC reporter Melissa Stark.

“I mean, we play the game in between the whistles,” Mahomes said. “They can do all the extracurricular stuff they want to do, but we play the game between the whistles.

The Chiefs lost the first two games of the season before winning two in a row. In Week 5, they lost a tough one to the Jacksonville Jaguars, 31-28, on "Monday Night Football."

The Chiefs face the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 7 as they look to move to 4-3.
