Ajinkya Rahane has a charismatic personality on the field, and the way he orchestrates his range of shots is so pleasing to the eyes. One such shot he played on Friday during CSK’s IPL 2024 against Lucknow Super Giants at Ekana Cricket Stadium in Match 34 of the ongoing edition.

It was a 133.7 kph delivery by LSG debutant Matt Henry during the third over of CSK’s innings after KL Rahul won the toss and asked them to bat first. Rahane stood tall and pulled it nonchalantly for an exquisite six.

The shot Rahane played made many fans nostalgic, as he used to play similar shots during his prime for Rajasthan Royals.

Rahane has found a new role at CSK, with skipper Ruturaj Gaikwad coming at No. 3 to promote him at the top of the order. At the time of writing this, the veteran batter is going strong as well, batting on 24* off 13 balls, with CSK reaching 42/2 after 5 overs.

Meanwhile, CSK are third on the IPL 2024 points table, while LSG are placed fifth on the 10-team chart.
