Adidas has received mixed reviews from Manchester United supporters after next season's home, away and third shirts were supposedly leaked. The Red Devils have experimented with lots of different colours and designs over the years, with some proving to be more popular than others.

The club was founded in 1878 as Newton Heath LYR by the Carriage and Wagon department of the Lancashire and Yorkshire Railway depot. They quickly became synonymous for their yellow and green stripe strip, with the colours now used on scarves to symbolise protest against the Glazer family.

Newton Heath was eventually renamed to Manchester United in the early 1900s, branding themselves with their famous red shirt. The Red Devils haven't looked back since, but they haven't forgotten their roots with various tributes to their history displayed through away and third shirts.

Ahead of next season, Manchester United don't look set to stray too far from their comfort zone from a stylistic point of view – but Adidias have still ruffled a few feathers. So, with that being said, the Manchester Evening News has taken a look at some of the 'leaked' 2024/25 Manchester United kits.

Home

According to Footy Headlines, Adidas appear to have combined two shades of red for this home jersey. This is the first time it could happen since the 2016/17 campaign when Wayne Rooney, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Paul Pogba donned that iconic half-and-half shirt to lift the Europa League.

While the large majority of supporters on Footy Headlines seemed to be satisfied with the strip, some fans weren't too happy with the 'template' look. One thing that people agreed on was the lack of black – a colour which has been a common feature on Manchester United shirts for a while now.

Away

Footy Headlines has described this jersey as navy blue colour, 'night indigo' to be exact, combined with light silver logos and red accents. While fans have been pleased to see the potential return of a collar, some supporters have likened the shirt to a cricket top that England would wear.

Third

As for the third shirt, Footy Headlines believe the shirt will be an off-white or light beige colour with red and carbon accents. If the leak is believed to be correct then the Manchester United jersey will also don the 'Adidas Originals' logo in place of the newly-implemented, modern Adidas logo.

In fact, it looks very similar to the Red Devils' 2023/24 third shirt. For now, it remains to be seen whether any of these 'leaked' jerseys are accurate until the club and Adidas make an official statement this summer.
