Louis Rees-Zammit's high-profile NFL experiment has come to an end with the Welshman announcing that he is returning to play rugby union. In January last year, Rees-Zammit, who had made 32 appearances for Wales, revealed that he was chasing his American football dream and although he had spells with the Kansas City Chiefs and the Jacksonville Jaguars as a wide receiver, he never played a snap in a regular season game.Rees-Zammit had been dealing with a back injury in recent days as he tried to earn a spot on the Jaguars' 53-player roster, but has now announced that he is returning to rugby."I've decided to leave the NFL and return to rugby," wrote Rees-Zammit in a social media post on Thursday night."It's been a great experience, but it's time to come home. I've decided that this is the best time to make this decision to give myself time to get everything in place for next season."There's only one thing that's on my mind, that's coming back to rugby and doing what I do best."I can't explain how excited I am!"
