Tennessee Football stayed at No. 15 in both the Associated Press Top 25 and the Coaches Poll Sunday afternoon, following the 41-34 overtime win over Mississippi State at Davis Wade Stadium in Starkville.Tennessee have now been ranked No. 15 in both the AP Top 25 and Coaches Poll for four straight weeks. The Vols were ranked No. 18 in the preseason Coaches Poll and No. 24 in the preseason AP Top 25.Tennessee (4-1, 1-1 SEC) is off next week, then is back home against Arkansas (2-3, 0-1) on October 11.Saturday night the Vols got a 25-yard touchdown run from DeSean Bishop on the first play of overtime, then got four straight stops inside the 5-yard line to end the game, with Mississippi State throwing incomplete in the end zone on fourth down.Joey Aguilar at Miss. State: 24-40, 355, 2 TDs, 2 INTsJoey Aguilar completed 24 of 40 passes for 355 yards and a touchdown and was intercepted twice. He also ran seven times for 21 yards and scored the game-tying touchdown on a 6-yard run with 1:55 left in regulation.Mike Matthews caught six passes for 118 yards and Chris Brazzell II had six catches for 105 yards and a touchdown, his seventh of the season. Bishop ran 11 times for 72 yards and the overtime touchdown and Star Thomas had 10 carries for 33 yards as the Vols rushed 32 times for 151 yards as a team.Colton Hood returned an interception for a touchdown in the first half and Joshua Josephs returned a fumble for a score in the second half, after a Tyre West strip sack.After the first bye week of the season, Tennessee returns home to host Arkansas next Saturday. The kickoff time and television information will be announced on Monday afternoon. The game is in the SEC’s flex window, meaning kickoff will either be between 3:30-4:30 p.m. Eastern Time or 6-8 p.m. ET.Arkansas fired head coach Sam Pittman on Sunday after his team lost three straight games — 41-35 at Ole Miss, 32-31 at Memphis and 56-13 at home to Notre Dame. Bobby Petrino will serve as interim head coach.The Razorbacks are also off on Saturday before the trip to Knoxville. Arkansas gave up an 28-10 lead in the first half at Memphis two weeks ago and trailed Notre Dame 42-10 in the first half Saturday in Fayetteville.Tennessee is back on the road after the Arkansas game, going to Alabama on October 18, then Kentucky on October 25. Oklahoma comes to Knoxville on November 1, before the second bye week of the season.The final threes weeks of the regular-season schedule are home against New Mexico State on November 15, at Florida on November 22 and home against Vanderbilt on November 29.
