Chelsea boss on Aston Villa, poor form, Jorgensen mistake

Hello and welcome to football.london for live coverage of Enzo Maresca's post-match press conference.

Maresca saw his Chelsea side were unable to hold onto an early lead with Marco Asensio's second-half equaliser enough for the points to be shared at Villa Park.

The visitors took the lead through Enzo Fernandez on nine minutes. The Argentine tapped into an empty net after some great work from Pedro Neto down the right-hand side. However, not long into the second-half and Villa Park was rocking again when Asensio levelled the score.

Asensio scored his first goal for his new club after Marcus Rashford was played onside at the far post and found the Spaniard with a cross. The goal was initially chalked out for offside but after a VAR check, it was given and the game was level.

It was 2-1 to Villa just before stoppage time with Filip Jorgensen's mistake allowing Asensio to grab his second goal of the game and it turned out to be decisive. We will hear from Maresca very shortly to hear what he made of the defeat.
