Alexandra "Alex" Eala’s run at the Jingshan Tennis Open ended Saturday when she fell to eventual champion Lulu Sun, 3-6, 6-4, 6-2, in the semifinals.This marked Eala’s fourth semifinal appearance this season, following her runs at the Miami Open in March, the Eastbourne Open in June, and the Guadalajara 125 Open earlier this month.Beyond the valuable experience gained, Eala also earned ranking points and prize money.As a semifinalist, she received 49 ranking points, which will be added to her current total to determine her updated ranking by Monday, according to a WTA document.She is also expected to earn $7,960 in prize money, while the finalist and champion receive $13,350 and $22,730, respectively.Eala will next compete in the Suzhou Open WTA 125, which begins Monday.
