Hardik Pandya's Bankrupcy Forced Him To Join Mumbai Indians: Report

New Delhi: Mumbai Indians skipper Hardik Pandya has been in the limelight since he left Gujarat Titans and joined his old franchise as a new leader. Now another report is coming in claiming that after betrayal from his stepbrother Vaibhav Pandya, he was influenced to seek refuge and support from the Ambani family.

Vaibhav allegedly diverted around Rs 4.3 crore from the partnership firm, causing a loss to both the Pandya brothers.

The incident took place in 2021. The accused Vaibhav had started a polymer business company with the Pandya brothers, Hardik and Krunal’s stake in this company was 40-40%, and Vaibhav had a 20% stake.

“His extravagant lifestyle, characterized by lavish expenditures on watches, cars, and multiple residences, came crashing down when his stepbrother absconded with a staggering amount, estimated to be much more than ten folds of the revealed amount” reported onecricket.

“Left in dire straits, Hardik turned to the Ambani family for support and financial stability. The billionaire conglomerate offered him not just a lifeline but also an opportunity to rebuild his shattered life. However, this lifeline came with a condition – Pandya’s allegiance to the Mumbai Indians, the franchise owned by the Ambani family” added Report.

However, Mumbai Police confirmed that the Economic Offence Wing of Mumbai police have arrested Vaibhav.

The incident took place in 2021. The accused Vaibhav had started a polymer business company with the Pandya brothers, Hardik and Krunal’s stake in this company was 40-40%, and Vaibhav had a 20% stake.

According to the allegations, Vaibhav illegally raised his own profit share from 20% to 33.3%, which further harmed Hardik and Krunal Pandya financially.

The profit from the company was to be divided into three in the same ratio. Instead of giving the company’s profit money to the Pandya brothers, the accused Vaibhav formed a separate company and transferred the profit amount to it, due to which the Pandya brothers suffered a loss of about Rs 4.3 crore.
