IRVINE, Calif.--The University of Hawai'i women's tennis team (7-7, 5-3 Big West) wraps up the regular season with a dual match at UC Irvine (10-10, 1-6 BW) on Saturday, April 19, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. HT at the Anteater Tennis Stadium.UH leads, 17-16UH has won the last 12-straight matches against the Anteaters• The Rainbow Wahine return to action after a few weeks off to conclude their regular season at UC Irvine.• Hawai'i currently is tied for third place in the Big West standings, tied with Long Beach State. But the 'Bows have the tie-breaker with The Beach after defeating them 5-2 on the road last month.• Three Rainbow Wahine are tied with a team-high eight singles wins this season. Seniorleads the 'Bows with an 8-3 record. Most recently she upset the 10th-ranked Amelia Honer in a match that ended in a third set super tie-breaker which Vilcek won, 6-3, 5-7, 1-0 (10-8). Vilcek earned Big West Player of the Week honors after the huge win. Vilcek has finished the season strong, winning five of her last six matches--including her last three straight.• Bothandboth enter this week with a record of 8-5. Homolkova fell just short by a break in a three set battle with No. 51 Cal Poly's Romane Mosse. Lanz has come up short in the last two matches, but she has won four of her last six matches aas well.• In doubles, UH's No. 1 duo ofandcarry a team-best 8-4 record in the final week of the season. They are 5-2 in conference and 7-3 on the No. 1 court.• UH's No. 3 team ofandhave a 6-6 overall record and at No. 2, Vilcek and Homolkova have a 5-7 mark at No. 2.• The Anteaters are looking to snap a three-match losing streak this week. On Friday, UCI will take on 72nd-ranked Long Beach State the day before they take on the Rainbow Wahine• Hally Huynh leads the Anteaters with a 14-3 singles record. the versatile Huynh has played matches on the No. 3, 4, 5 and 6 courts. She is undefeated at 7-0 at No. 4, 3-0 at No.3 and 1-0 at No. 6• Two other UCI players have notched double-digit wins in singles. Yen Nhi Huynh enters the week with a 13-5 mark and Mally Huynh is 10-6• In doubles, the UC Irvine pair of Carolyna Fowler and Yen Nhi Huynh has a team-best record af 12-3 overall. They are 11-2 on the No. 2 court.
