Liverpool are reportedly one of several clubs keeping tabs on Borussia Dortmund and England youth international Jamie Bynoe-Gittens. Gittens, 20, has enjoyed a stellar season for Nuri Sahin's side, scoring nine goals and providing five assists across all competitions.

And such form has seen the England under-21 international linked with a return to the Premier League, four-and-a-half years after leaving Manchester City, with Fabrizio Romano claiming that several scouts from Liverpool and Chelsea have been following the forward's progress.

But despite Gittens being contracted to the Bundesliga side until June 2028, Romano claims that Dortmund are resigned to losing him at some stage in 2025, though a summer exit is "probably" more likely than one in January.

Providing an update on his YouTube channel, Romano said: “My understanding is that Borussia Dortmund feel that, in 2025 – probably summer more than January – it will be difficult to keep Jamie Bynoe-Gittens at the club.

“The interest from Premier League clubs is more than strong. Premier League clubs are really, really following closely the progress of Bynoe-Gittens at Borussia Dortmund.

“It’s more likely to be summer than January – January is going to be more difficult – but in general, Borussia Dortmund are looking at wingers because, for the long-term, they need to cover that position.

“They know that, for Bynoe-Gittens, the big clubs are coming. For example, my understanding is that several times scouts from Liverpool, from Chelsea and more clubs have been in attendance to follow Jamie Bynoe-Gittens’ progress.”

Meanwhile, Feyenoord forward Santiago Gimenez has admitted he would be keen to reunite with Liverpool head Arne Slot at some point in the future. Gimenez, 23, was signed by Slot during his time as Feyenoord manager back in July 2022 and has since scored 59 goals in 100 appearances for the Dutch side.

And now the Mexico international has admitted he would love to work with Slot at some point in the future again, insisting it is his dream to play in the Premier League.

“Yes, absolutely,” he told Fox Sports when asked if he expects to reunite with his former manager in the future. “Football is always about meeting the same familiar faces again and that is the beauty of this world.

“You leave an impression, make friends all over the world, and later you see each other again, greet each other and meet again.

“Since I was a kid, I always wanted to play in one of the top five leagues in the world and one of those leagues is Spain, England or Italy."
