Everton fans send clear message to Sean Dyche after Beto’s display against Leicester City

Everton fans have been treated to their third consecutive victory in the Premier League on Saturday.

David Moyes has guided his side to three wins out of four with an emphatic victory over Leicester City at Goodison Park.

No time was wasted by Everton on Saturday with Abdoulaye Doucoure scoring after just 10 seconds and Beto doubling the score after six minutes.

The striker was in fine form as he came into the starting XI following Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s injury last weekend.

Beto has now equalled Calvert-Lewin’s record of three Premier League goals this season in considerably less game time.

And it was apparent the 26-year-old’s display went down extremely well with the Everton fans who watched on as their side clinched the points.

Everton fans praise Beto’s performance vs Leicester City

After scoring his second goal, Beto hinted towards his future at Everton as he pounded the badge on his shirt to the fans.

Game time has been extremely limited for the Portuguese striker this season as he has played second fiddle to Calvert-Lewin.

MORE EVERTON STORIES

Taking to social media, Everton fans shared their frustration over the lack of opportunities which Beto was handed by Sean Dyche.

One fan was left hoping Dyche was watching, @sean_lunt said: ‘I doubt Sean Dyche is watching Everton or particularly cares, but when Beto is banging in goals, O’Brien is a rock at right-back and even Nathan Patterson is getting minutes even he must wonder what’s going on.’

Another fan was thinking the same thing, with @toffeebluecast adding: ‘Every player Sean Dyche pushed out coming good Beto Lindstrom O’Brien.’ Whilst @bluebailey55 sent a stern message to Dyche: ‘Faultless finish from Beto who latches onto a sublime James Garner through ball. Are you watching Sean Dyche !’

Adding to the Beto praise, @3andcaptain said: ‘Someone at the clubs finally seen a Beto compilation from Italy.’ Whilst another fan praised Moyes, @tacticallymatt said: ‘Moyes said, right, I’ve got to use Beto due to injuries, I’ll play to his strengths.’

Perhaps the pick of the comments went to @bt_1878 who lavished Beto with some big praise: ‘

The game on Saturday was Beto’s first start in the Premier League for two months, having not started since the defeat against Manchester United.

But he has started off on the front foot on Saturday in the absence of Calvert-Lewin and the fans were chuffed.

Torino transfer off the cards for Beto

Over the month of January, Beto was subject of interest to Torino who wanted to bring the striker back to Serie A.

However, the injury to Calvert-Lewin has all but ruled out that possibility.

Everton are still looking to sign a striker, but they are finding it difficult to find a player at this stage in the window who will actually provide them quality.

And going off the display which Beto showed on Saturday, there are not many strikers who may potentially be available that could offer more.

Under Dyche, Beto played a mere 232 minutes of Premier League football, perhaps if the 53-year-old showed some belief in him Everton may have put some more goals on the board.
