Carlos Alcaraz continued his dominant run in the US Open 2025 as he defeated Czech opponent Jiri Lehecka in straight sets—6-4, 6-2, 6-4 in the quarter-final at the iconic Arthur Ashe Stadium to reach the semi-final of the Grand Slam. He has been in incredible form throughout the tournament. In fact, he has had an excellent year as well and is well on course to top it off with a win in the final Grand Slam of 2025. With his semi-final qualification, the Spanish ace has managed to create history with an incredible record.

Carlos Alcaraz reached the semi-final of the US Open, Wimbledon, and French Open in 2025. This means that he has reached the final four stage of Grand Slams on all three surfaces- turf, grass, and clay- in the same year. He has previously achieved this feat in 2023, when he reached the semi-finals of the US Open, Wimbledon, and French Open. He now becomes the youngest player in history to reach the semi-finals of Grand Slams on all three surfaces in a single year on multiple occasions at 22 years and 111 days.
