Zimbabwe skipper Sikandar Raza on Wednesday, September 3, became the No. 1 ODI all-rounder after a stellar series against Sri Lanka. Meanwhile, veteran Team India all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja remains the only Indian cricketer to feature among the top 10 in both the ODI bowling and all-rounder charts.

Zimbabwe suffered a 0-2 series defeat against Sri Lanka in Harare. Sikandar Raza impressed with both bat and ball. The 39-year-old all-rounder began the series with 92 runs off 87 balls after claiming 1 for 48 in his 10 overs. He scored an unbeaten 59 runs from 55 deliveries in the second game on Sunday.

Sikandar Raza became the first player from Zimbabwe to achieve the No. 1 ODI all-rounder ranking. Raza (302 points) surpassed Afghanistan cricketers Azmatullah Omarzai and Mohammad Nabi in the all-rounder standings to reach the top spot.

Sri Lanka players Janith Liyanage and Dilshan Madushanka were among the biggest gainers, climbing 19 and 15 places, respectively. Jan Nicol Loftie-Eaton (+14), Wiaan Mulder (+10), and JJ Smit (+8) made significant jumps in the category.

Keshav Maharaj Reaches Top Spot in ICC Men’s ODI Bowling Rankings

South Africa spinner Keshav Maharaj claimed the top spot in the ODI bowling rankings following a remarkable performance against England at Headingley. The left-arm spinner dismantled the opposition for 131 runs, taking 4 wickets for 22.

Maharaj (690 rating points) surpassed Sri Lanka’s Maheesh Theekshana, who struggled in the recent series against Zimbabwe. He had also impressed earlier with a five-wicket haul against Australia.

India’s wrist-spinner Kuldeep Yadav holds third place. Jofra Archer jumped six places to 19th, and Lungi Ngidi moved up five spots to joint 23rd. Sri Lanka’s Asitha Fernando climbed six positions to 31st, while Dilshan Madushanka rose from 60th to 52nd following a hat-trick in Harare.

Shubman Gill Retains Top Spot in ICC Men’s ODI Batting Rankings

Sri Lanka opener Pathum Nissanka narrowly missed breaking into the top 10 of the ICC ODI batting rankings. He moved up seven places to 13th with 654 points after scores of 122 and 76 in the recent series.

Meanwhile, Sikandar Raza’s teammate Ben Curran made the biggest leap across all ODI ranking categories. Curran jumped 71 spots to 90th in the world following consecutive half-centuries of 70 and 79 against Sri Lanka.

Raza climbed nine places to 22nd, and Janith Liyanage rose 13 spots to 29th, while Brian Bennett dropped 11 positions to 80th.
