Madison Keys roared back from a set down to beat Elina Svitolina and reach the Australian Open semi-finals on Wednesday (22 January).Keys prevailed 3-6, 6-3, 6-4 over her opponent from Ukraine with some griding tennis, progressing to the last four for a third time.Coming off victory in Adelaide to start off the new year, The 29-year-old American is on a 10-match win streak. She will face five-time Grand Slam winner and Paris 2024 Olympic bronze medallist Iga Swiatek in the semis for her first trip to the final in Melbourne.No. 2 seed Swiatek - who will also be fighting for her first appearance in the final - outclassed Emma Navarro 6-1, 6-2 in their quarter-final.Svitolina was in the driver’s seat in the opening set but Keys adjusted in the second, breaking to go up 4-2 and holding on to win the frame.In the decisive set, Keys, the 2017 US Open runner-up seeded 19th here, broke the 30-year-old Svitolina before finishing the job in 1 hour, 53 minutes.
