Manchester United supporters will be keenly observing the summer transfer window after a dismal season.

Ruben Amorim's men ended the 2024/25 season with their worst-ever Premier League finish (15th), following defeat in the Europa League final to Tottenham Hotspur. However, they did manage to clinch their first home league victory since February on the final day of the season with a 2-0 win over Aston Villa.

The Reds are now facing one of the most crucial transfer windows in recent years, with Matheus Cunha being United's first summer signing of 2025. There is also speculation about several players exiting M16. The Manchester Evening News understands that the club would entertain offers for any player.

Below are some of the latest headlines from around Old Trafford as well as a view on each one...

Gyokeres stance

Manchester United-linked Viktor Gyokeres reportedly fancies a move to Arsenal if he has a choice of clubs this summer.

Our colleagues at The Mirror report that Sporting believe Gyokeres prefers Arsenal and the Premier League over interest from Spain and Italy. The Gunners can also offer Champions League football which is something that United cannot currently provide.

Isaac Seelochan of the Manchester Evening News says:"It is perhaps not a surprise to hear this, however, the Gunners appear set on RB Leipzig's Benjamin Sesko, leaving Gyokeres with a decision to make. Does he stay at Sporting and wait for better options next summer, or could the allure of working under his former manager convince him to join United?"

Garnacho view

Former Manchester United goalkeeper Ben Foster believes the Reds should look to sell Alejandro Garnacho.

"I think for Man United it's best to ship [him] out," he told talkSPORT. "If I was the manager, I'd be a little bit similar to Amorim in the case of I just want team players.

"I want a bunch of lads who are good, honest, hard-working team players. And I don't get that vibe from Garnacho, I don't get that vibe from a few of the players.

"You look at the full-time whistle after the Europa League game. You have Brennan Johnson doing an interview. He looks like he hasn't had a haircut for about three months, [hair] horrible all over the place, but his interview was incredible. You could tell he's a real nice lad, he's hard working, he does everything for the team. Then you look at Garnacho. Fresh trim a day ago, dyed blonde, ready for the final.

"The full-time whistle goes, he's sat on the pitch sulking by himself, not trying to get behind the other lads, picking them up, saying 'well done we got this far'. And I think that there is the big contrast. I just want good lads, honest, hard-working lads."

Isaac Seelochan of The Manchester Evening News says:"While Garnacho, 20, still has plenty of room for improvement, his inconsistencies have frustrated some fans. His suitability to Amorim's system is also in question.

"The talented forward plays better as a winger - a position which does not fit into his manager's 3-4-2-1 formation. It's why a move away from M16 looks to be best for both parties."
