Mohammad Rizwan declines to sign PCB central contract over unresolved concerns

Former Pakistan cricket team captain has reportedly declined to sign his central contract with the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) due to unresolved issues with the board.

According to sources, Rizwan has raised several concerns and sought clarifications from the PCB before agreeing to the terms of the contract. While all other players have already signed their contracts, the wicketkeeper-batter has withheld his signature pending the board’s response to his queries.

Insiders reveal that Rizwan has presented a list of demands to the PCB, but the board has so far refused to accept them, making it unlikely that his conditions will be met in the near future.

Rizwan has been placed in Category B of the 2024–25 central contracts, which were recently awarded to 30 players.

The development comes amid a turbulent period for the cricketer, who was recently removed as Pakistan’s ODI captain and excluded from the national T20 squad.
