Firpo - annoyed with player?

I was hoping you had forgotten. First of all, it was a shock to us. I did not see it and nobody did. A shock there was an investigation. I watched it back and Junior has to behave better. We accept the ban and he cannot do that. His opponent went after him. He should just have went away and not allowed a provocation. For a player of his calibre, he has to behave better.

There some things I am, struggling with. First thing: we do not use VAR in this league for obvious mistakes. Save money or whatever? Then we use the TV pictures to find something nobody has seen during the game and investigate if someone has acted in this way and paid to investigate it. Where does it start and end?

Then it's more like when you have the camera on every corner. There are five or six fouls you could investigate, and we keep finishing every game with five red cards.

Second thing I struggle with is the reason I asked why it was investigated. The reason they gave me was because the referee reported McNamara came after the game to say there was inappropriate behaviour with a head nick. Referee then included that in his report.

Last season, at Rotherham, there was a clear tackle in the box that was a penalty., Everyone claimed for this. Every guy on social media saw this. Whole bench claimed for red card. Days later we are told by the FA it should have been a red card and penalty: we apologise. In this case, Gnonto had a bloody and bruised knee. It was not in the report of the referee. Why? When there is an injury. Then there is reported this year when there is no injury.

There needs to be consistency.

Third thing: with all due respect, we cannot carry on with values like this. My generation tried everything in 90 minutes to win games. You would try to provoke things to get a reaction. We would shake hands after it. It would not be possible for me, after a feisty game I have won, I report to the referee violent behaviour when there is not even an injury. I have problems with this behaviour. It's not how we should be there.

To speak about a colleague doing something wrong, especially when there is something wrong. You should not do this. I am really struggling with then saying this player will be rewarded by booking the other player. A suspension for the other player means your claim will be rewarded. Well done, keep reporting this in the future to get that same reward.

Do you know why I love English football growing up? Because home fans would boo their own players for diving. If we encourage winning players to report their colleagues for incidents like this and we reward them by punishing their opponent.

Again, not good behaviour from Junior. A duel, arms and legs, McNamara goes after him and Junior should have just gone away. I will speak about this strictly with Junior. I apologise for this, but my points are valid.
