He said specialised police units are fully deployed to safeguard the stadium and will act decisively against any disruptions. “Legal action will be taken against violators to safeguard both spectators and facilities,” Al Mazrouei stressed. Authorities reminded spectators of penalties under the Federal Law on the Security of Sports Facilities and Events. Pitch invasions or attempts to bring in banned items, including fireworks, could result in imprisonment of one to three months and fines between AED5,000 (over ₹1.20 lakh) and AED30,000 (over ₹7.20 lakh) . Acts of violence, throwing objects, or using racist or abusive language carry even heavier punishments, with offenders facing prison terms and fines ranging from AED10,000 (over ₹2.40 lakh) to AED30,000. A long list of prohibited items has been circulated, including fireworks, lasers, flammable materials, umbrellas, selfie sticks, large camera equipment, sharp objects, toxic substances, flags, banners, remote-controlled devices, bicycles, scooters, skateboards, glass items, and pets. Al Mazrouei stressed that these restrictions are in place to protect players, officials, and the tens of thousands of spectators expected for one of the tournament’s most watched fixtures. The India-Pakistan clash comes amid heightened tensions in the region, with Dubai Police emphasising that any breach of stadium rules will be met with firm consequences.
