(Image: Everton FC )Everton's future home will be known as Hill Dickinson Stadium with immediate effect following what the club has described as one of the largest naming rights deals in Europe. The club has not yet disclosed either the length of the contract or valuation of the agreement with the 215-year-old Liverpool-based law firm which operates across Europe and Asia.While Everton's final game at Goodison Park will take place tomorrow, May 18, the attention of the fans momentarily turned to the new name given to Everton's new stadium.Fans of rival clubs mocked the soon-to-be 'Hill Dickinson' Stadium while many of the Toffees were equally taken back by the news that broke last night. One fan took to X, formerly known as Twitter, with a potential name that could be used going forward.X user @ScouseRicey posted: "Just heard a shout to call the new stadium 'The Dixie' for short. The post received over 1,000 likes and comments from Everton fans, sharing their thoughts on the nickname.Linda commented "Let's make it happen" and Jonnie agreed "Sounds good to me, the Dixie it is." Lana said: "That'll work, much better" and Mark wrote "As in Dean. Genius."Kalum was impressed with the suggestion, adding "not half bad that you know" and Ben shared the same sentiment, commenting "Yeah I can go with that. He scored a total of 383 goals in 433 appearances for Everton. He also scored 18 goals in 16 appearances for England. His record of 60 goals in a single league season (1927-28) remains unbroken.More than 500 Evertonians lined the pavement on the corner of Goodison Road and Walton Lane in May 2001 to witness the unveiling of a larger than life bronze figure of Dean.Local artist and sculptor Tom Murphy revealed he approached Everton about the possibility of sculpting their most famous figure after being inundated by requests from Evertonians.At the time, Everton's former chairman Bill Kenwright, said: "In this world you often hear ‘Never, say never!’ But I think there is one ‘never’ in football that’s a truism: Dixie Dean’s record will never, ever be beaten."Dixie Dean’s memory will never be forgotten by people who love football.
