Oldham Athletic footballer Kian Harratt knocked a woman out by throwing a chair at her during a brawl in Ibiza just weeks after scoring a goal at Wembley. The 23-year-old striker was caught on video launching the item, with the woman falling to the ground by a swimming pool after it hit her. Harratt joined Oldham from Fleetwood in March after deciding to drop down from League Two to play in the National League. The Latics had been relegated to the fifth tier of English football in 2022 after finishing second bottom in League Two. But Harratt sent his side back to the Football League after coming off the bench in the play-off final to net the winner in extra time as Oldham won the match 3-2 against Southend United. Harratt jetted off to Ibiza for a holiday following the conclusion of the 2024/25 campaign but appeared to lose his temper during a heated poolside argument. In the video, which has been posted to X (formerly Twitter), a woman in a black bikini can be seen trying to break up a brawl. When her back is turned, a white plastic chair is thrown in her direction where other men are standing and ends up hitting her on her shoulder. She then falls to the ground and doesn’t get up. The chair also knocks a man into the swimming pool. A second chair is then launched seconds later by someone else, which ends up making contact with a second man and sending him into the water as well. As staff attend to the injured woman, Harratt is told to leave.

The woman had reportedly been trying to break up a fight between Harratt and his friends, with the footballer even apparently sharing the video of the incident on social media. The brawl took place at the Marco Polo Hotel in San Antonio at the weekend, with Brandon Watkins, who was one of the men confronted by Harratt’s group taking to Facebook to explain what happened. “Five lads came to our hotel being n*** around the pool splashing people throwing balls at women and one lad says, 'What are you looking at?’
