Arsenal comfortably defeated Bournemouth on Saturday, but star midfielder Declan Rice was still left unhappy despite scoring to help his side keep pace with Manchester City

Arsenal are keeping pace with Manchester City in the title race, but are now relying on Pep Guardiola's side to slip up.

The Gunners comfortably beat Bournemouth on Saturday thanks to goals from Bukayo Saka, Leandro Trossard and Declan Rice. The England midfielder scored in injury-time to wrap up the three points.

But he was not totally happy after the win, admitting he was 'fuming' with himself for missing several chances. Elsewhere, Kai Havertz fought back against allegations that he had dived to win the penalty Saka scored from.

Bournemouth boss Andoni Iraola was left furious with Havertz, while Arsenal manager Mikel Areta is remaining coy on the future of keeper David Raya. Here, Mirror Football rounds up all the latest Arsenal news.

Rice 'fuming' despite win'

Declan Rice has admitted he was left fuming with himself after missing a number of chances against Bournemouth. The midfielder scored Arsena's final goal in the win, but insisted he should have converted more of his chances.

"I think you see it in the first-half, it was just domination, could have been four or five to be honest with you. I missed a sitter and was fuming to be honest. I couldn't let it go, I knew there was an opportunity for me to score," he told TNT Sports.

"Even for my goal, I was back in my own half and I just sensed it, Bournemouth players around there, just kept going and going. Goal, assist and three points is what we needed. I'm delighted, it was a big result."

Mikel Arteta has refused to confirm whether or not Arsenal plan to sign goalkeeper David Raya on a permanent basis. Raya joined the Gunners on loan from Brentford in the summer transfer window.

He has since gone on to cement himself as first-choice, with Arsenal having an option to buy him for £27million in the upcoming window. But Arteta is remaining coy on the Spaniard's future.

He said: "Those conversations are for after the season. We will review where we are. Obviously, we are really happy with David and everything he has brought to the club and the team, there is no question about it. But, those decisions are taken by all of us at the club and we will see."

Havertz hits back at diving allegations

Kai Havertz has insisted he did not dive to win the penalty from which Bukayo Saka opened the scoring against Bournemouth. Havertz was brought down in the box by Bournemouth goalkeeper Mark Travers and referee David Coote immediately pointed to the spot.

A VAR check confirmed Coote's decision as being correct, though Cherries boss Andoni Iraola was left furious with the German. But the Gunners star has fired back at the Spaniard, insisting the penalty decision was correct.

Havertz told TNT Sports: "I haven't seen the replay, but I think he touches me. In the situation I felt the contact and that's why I went down. For me it's a penalty. I said to the goalkeeper as well 'you touched me' so I think he understood as well. Maybe it's not that clear but you can give it for sure."
