A recent viral video from the Sydney Cricket Ground shows an unusual encounter involving a Pakistani cricket fan.

The fan, donning a Pakistan jersey and holding a picture of Imran Khan lifting the 1992 World Cup trophy, was confronted by a stadium steward.

The official gave the fan an ultimatum: "Either you give it [the poster] to me or you go home," the steward is heard saying in the video.

The video sparked a strong online debate.

In the comments, one user pointed out, "Imran Khan's fear has reached all the way to Australia," while another expressed frustration, writing, "I thought Australia is a sports-loving nation. It has to be said, not allowing Pakistan cricket fans to exhibit their love for Imran Khan—one of the game's great names—at an ODI is more than just ridiculous."

Others weighed in with a simpler view: "No politics should be allowed in sports."
