As the clock ticks down on the January transfer window, all eyes are solely on the exit door at Anfield.

The Reds always looked unlikely to do any incoming business mid-season and so that has proven.

But while Liverpool supporters will have to wait until the summer to see some fresh faces, they are set to wave goodbye to some old ones on Monday.

Tyler Morton could leave, with Middlesbrough showing interest in the 22-year-old.

As well as Morton, three more Liverpool players may go on deadline day, mostly via loan moves.

However, while some Liverpool academy youngsters are poised to continue their development in temporary homes, one is set to find himself a permanent move on Monday.

“Tottenham have agreed a deal to sign young Liverpool centre-half Luca Furnell-Gill,” Kilpatrick reports.

“The 18-year-old is set to bolster numbers in the club’s academy and should be announced in a double-deal with midfielder Daniel Batty, also 18, from Man City before the deadline. The pair are not being considered for Ange Postecoglou’s first-team squad this season.”

Who is Luca Furnell-Gill?

As per liverpoolfc.com, Furnell-Gill is a centre-back who was signed from Preston at U15 level.

Described as being ‘talented,’ the teenager was reportedly a winger initially before converting to play at the back.

Playing with the U18s since the age of 16, Furnell-Gill hails from Bradford.

As he makes the move down south, we wish Luca all the best as he continues his development at Tottenham.

Hopefully this is not one Liverpool will come to regret.
