Lindsay Collins charged through a gaping hole in the Cowboys defence to give the Roosters an early lead.

Roosters second-rower Siua Wong limped off with a knee injury after falling awkwardly in a tackle.

Sandon Smith put in a pinpoint grubber for Billy Smith to score as the Roosters pushed out to a commanding lead.

Benaiah Ioelu produced a brilliant kick that took a wicked bounce to avoid Scott Drinkwater as Connor Watson extended the Roosters’ lead.

Braidon Burns dived over in the corner to finally get the Cowboys on the board.

Hugo Savala made a break and put Smith over for his second as the Roosters pushed out to a commanding lead.

Mark Nawaqanitawase pounced on a pass from Tom Dearden to score a long-range intercept try as the Roosters threatened to put on a cricket score.

Sandon Smith produced a pinpoint grubber for James Tedesco to dive over and push the Roosters past 30.

Ioelu produced a freak kick for Daniel Tupou to cross in the corner as the Roosters made it 28-4.

Murray Taulagi came up with a freak finish to score a consolation try for the Cowboys but it was far too little too late.
