According to Amenie Football on X, who are followed by Graham Smyth, Leeds have made an approach to sign the Krasnodar star and could make an offer within hours.

With the Premier League deadline at 7 pm on Monday evening, it is said that time is running out for Leeds to get a deal over the line, with the playmaker in Russia.

Farke has worked with Spertsyan before, and could make a late move for the Armenian.

Who else could Leeds sign?

Dilane Bakwa has been a name doing the most rounds in recent weeks.

Leeds were said to be favourites to sign Bakwa recently, but the Strasbourg star has now caught the attention of Nottingham Forest and Fulham.

Gus Hamer is another to watch at Leeds, with Sheffield United currently rotting at the bottom of the Championship and massive pressure on Ruben Selles already.

Looking at a small bunch of the signings at Elland Road, and the issue is clear.

Leeds have spent very little on attacking additions, and that has created a massive problem in the final third so far, despite looking solid at the other end for two of three games.

Spertsyan would be a smart under-the-radar signing on deadline day, but many Leeds fans are crying out for that big-money marquee transfer to end the window with a bang.
