Moises Caicedo is back in Chelsea training ahead of the FIFA Club World Cup final with Paris Saint-Germain on Sunday, after the midfielder limped off in the win against Fluminense earlier in the week.

The 23-year-old, who was voted Chelsea's Player of the Season back in May, limped off in stoppage time during the victory over Fluminense on Tuesday. Caicedo went in for a tackle but appeared to hurt his ankle, and was on the floor in clear pain for a couple of minutes at least.

Enzo Maresca had already made all five of his substitutions by this point and Caicedo tried to play on for the final minutes of the match at the MetLife Stadium in New Jersey. However, the Ecuadorian was unable to do that and then limped off - and it has left Chelsea supporters sweating on the midfielder's fitness ahead of this Sunday's final against Paris Saint-Germain.

Fortunately for the Blues, Caicedo was seen in open training on Thursday morning in America, just over 72 hours before the final is scheduled to kick off. Elsewhere, there was no sign of Romeo Lavia, who has not featured since the win against Benfica in the round of 16 at the end of last month.

A muscular problem kept the Belgian midfielder out of both the Palmeiras and Fluminense matches and he is now considered a doubt for the PSG game this weekend. Meanwhile, Noni Madueke did train amid intense speculation over his future at Chelsea.

football.london understands Arsenal and the Blues started club-to-club talks over a possible deal for the England international earlier in the week. Madueke is understood to be keen on moving to the Emirates Stadium, but his full focus is on Sunday's final in New Jersey.
