Arsenal are not resting on their laurels after an active window with the first team. Some significant change is happening on the board, and Mikel Arteta stands with the "incredibly supportive" owners.‘He has made a tremendous contribution’Most fans were happy with the club this summer after a transfer window that saw over £250 million spent and eight incomings to deepen the squad. However, there is still change ongoing at board level.Tim Lewis became a director of Arsenal in 2020, then took on the position of executive vice-chair in 2023. After a five year association with Arsenal, he has stepped down from the board. At the same time, Richard Garlick, previously Managing Director of the club, is the CEO with immediate effect.“Tim Lewis is leaving and I would like to say a few words, He's been someone I've enjoyed working with. He has made a tremendous contribution to everything that we’ve done over the last few years. Then on Richard Garlick, congratulations, it's a massive role to be the CEO of this football club.”Kelly Blaha, Otto Maly, and Dave Steiner have all also joined the board as representatives from KSE.“Welcome to the new members of the board. Hopefully they're going to make us better and help us with ideas and support for this club. It's Stan and Josh’s decision, they've been incredibly supportive.”Just like players, board members come and go, and Arteta appreciates his newfound bonds.“I've been very lucky to work with some wonderful people that I have learned so much from. It's sad because we spend so much time together. Very important people that will be part of the football club, of my life as well, because you get really attached to them emotionally as well, and their families.”Josh Kroenke continues to put his foot down in a bid to keep the club growing, pleasing the manager.“Wonderful future. That's the only thing that I can say. I'm so positive about it and every time I speak to Stan and Josh and how willing they are, the projection they have, the vision they have for the football club, the people that we have around it, there's no question that, big things ahead.”
