Terry McLaurin has officially signed a 3-year extension with the Washington Commanders that is worth up to $96 million per reports. The details of the contract aren’t out yet, but this deal gets the team’s #1 priority going into the season taken care of. McLaurin returns to practice tomorrow, and starts preparing for a Week 1 home game against the New York Giants.

Terry McLaurin’s contract status has been hanging over Washington’s head for most of the offseason and almost went into the season. The market for WRs exploded this year as $30m/year was quickly made the minimum for a WR1. Terry McLaurin was attending OTAs, but started his holdout during the second set of practices. The two sides were reportedly not close, and not talking for over a month before McLaurin spoke to the media to air out some of his frustrations. His holdout turned into a holdin and a trip to the PUP list for an ankle injury. McLaurin requested a trade and didn’t attend the team’s first home preseason game on Monday Night Football.
