City's inability to see out a victory has proven a major flaw in their progress under Johannes Hoff Thorup. This defeat means they have dropped a Championship-leading 29 points after leading a game.Despite a strong first-half performance, soft defending and poor decision-making allowed Sheffield Wednesday back into the contest, and they left Carrow Road with three points to leapfrog the Canaries.Any remaining hope of a play-off finish is now all but gone - and McLean bemoaned City's inability to learn tough lessons throughout the Championship campaign."Seven months into the season, same old story. We're still finding it hard to get answers," a frustrated McLean said post-match."That's the worst this season. You can see that at the end of the game, it was a deserved reaction from the fans. We can't be satisfied playing football for 45 minutes every week. It's not enough."It's actually a shambles how many points we've dropped from winning positions. It's something we need to change and something we need to fix. It's totally down to us."We encourage and invite teams. When they get a goal, they know that we're vulnerable. They see we're vulnerable, and we do very little about it."We're a nice team. When it clicks, it's really good. When things go against us, it's shocking. That's where we're at. There's no in-between. We need to be better in tough moments."Asked whether that was a mentality or footballing problem, McLean feels Norwich need to look at all aspects to nip the recurring regressive trends in the bud."I wish I could say exactly what it was, what it has been, and what it is. We're a long way into the season now," said City's captain.Kenny McLean delivered a scathing verdict on Norwich City's collapse against Sheffield Wednesday. (Image: Paul Chesterton/Focus Images Ltd) "Early on, it was (a lack of) experience and we were getting a bye with that sometimes. Maybe too much. Maybe we had to take more responsibility at the time when it was happening earlier on."We've got experience from being in that position a lot this season, and it still continues to happen. So it's just such a frustration for everybody."I hear the frustration at the end. I see it and completely agree with it. Whatever's getting said at the end to us, we need to take that on the chin because we deserve everything that was said."
