Juventus star on Man United transfer radar as Ruben Amorim told 'we need' Jadon Sancho swapJadon Sancho needs a new home after a disappointing loan - and he could be a makeweight in a swap dealJuventus striker Dusan Vlahovic has been linked with a summer move to Manchester United (Image: Getty Images )Jadon Sancho needs a new club after Chelsea opted to pay a £5 million penalty to walk back on their obligation to sign him permanently - and some fans in the Manchester Evening News comments section think that Manchester United could do a whole lot worse than to offer him as a makeweight in deals for a pair of Juventus stars this summer.United's priority this summer is to rebuild a stuttering attack, and nobody is safe if the right deal can be struck - least of all Sancho, who never lived up to the promise he showed when Borussia Dortmund were paid a £73 million fee in 2021. Juventus are reported to be interested in the winger, and could opt to offer a trade for one of their top players.Serbian striker Dusan Vlahovic earned his move to Juventus after establishing himself as a top prospect at Serie A's Fiorentina, scoring 17 times in just 21 appearances in the league during his final year there. He's not hit those heights in black and white, but he remains a solid number nine.Young American Timothy Weah has also been named, but Ruben Amorim is not likely to need more wide players. Douglas Luiz was a big part of the Aston Villa squad that established themselves as Premier League regulars after promotion however, and could suit United as an all-action foil for Bruno Fernandes. Some reckon that one of those Serie A regulars could do a job with Manchester United - with some caveats. Reader Verdad says: "Douglas Luiz is a fantastic talent and would give United a real presence in the middle of the park as he does it all. That said, his career has been laden with muscular and hamstring injuries. In 2024-25 he missed 111 days and 20 matches. Wish him well and move on."Commenter Justifiably Sceptical writes: "Douglas Luiz would be a decent option, but I'm not massively excited by it. Vlahovic is not an option at all. If you've read his comments, he's basically admitted that he's not athletic enough for the Prem and also lacks the work ethic.Article continues below"I'd rather bank whatever we can and put it towards an option that WE have chosen, rather than take players that another team want to get rid of."BestieTom writes: "Vlahovic for Sancho, and try Hojlund in swap for Luiz. 2 out, and 2 in that we need. Vlahovic would be a good teacher for Obi, and Luiz, Ugarte, and Mainoo could compete for places alongside Fernandes. We could share all 4 for the 2 places in midfield and keep them fresh."Steady Irwin says: "I wanted Vlahovic on loan in January to try and get us up the table and help us win some silverware. But long term, if you look at his wages, defensive output (yeah I know, striker, but you do occasionally need them to press/track back), holdup play, he is not really a long term option. Basically he would have gotten us goals in the short term but we need something better long term to get us playing better football."Article continues belowWeah has Frustratred's vote: "Weah may not be a bad option though. He's played as a wingback a lot throughout his career and with Mazraoui now seen as more of a right sided CB and Dalot has not impressed going forward. Weah can be a decent rotational option for an attacking wing back and won't be on massive wages/injury prone like the other two."Pebbles7 says: "I'd take both Luiz and Vlahovic. Offer Sancho as a straight swap for the two. If Juventus want a cash adjustment as well, consider it. If it makes sense, go for it. But for God's sake, don't spend the summer dithering before trying to get players in on 31st August."Have your say! If you were in charge, would you consider a straight swap for one of the Juventus squad? Are there other similar value targets elsewhere? Comment below, and join in on the conversation.
