Cork sporting legend Roy Keane has celebrated his 54th birthday in style this year by spending it abroad with his loved ones. And to mark the big day today, the Mayfield man shared a post on Instagram showing photos and a video of him and his grandchildren enjoying their time in the sun. Keano, who is known to be a doting granddad and big family man, captioned the pics: "Happy Birthday to me. All the gifts I need."Many of the snaps included his newest and third grandchild, who was born earlier this year. The sporting legend's comment section was quickly filled with birthday wishes, with a number of big football organisations also sending their regards.Manchester United posted: "Wishing a very happy birthday to United legend, Roy Keane."Meanwhile, the FAI said: "Sending birthday wishes to the one & only, Roy Keane."Even the crew at his own podcast 'The Overlap' chimed in, writing simply "Happy Birthday Roy" with a cake emoji.Keano is known for keeping his personal life to himself and rarely posts on social media - however, this is far from the first time he's shared adorable snaps with his grandkids.Since becoming a grandfather in 2021, the father of five has occasionally posted photos of his two eldest grandchildren. Our personal favourite was the pic of Roy dressed up as Chase from Paw Patrol, where he joked he was 'available for party hire' but 'doesn't like parties or kids.'Roy and his wife Theresa Doyle have five children together, Shannon, Caragh, Aidan, Leah and Alanna.Roy married wife Theresa in his native Mayfield in Cork back in 1997. They first met while he was playing with Nottingham Forest in 1992.
