A video of two men from Mumbai performing Garba with the now-viral ‘jet-crash’ step has gone viral on social media.

The clip was shared on Instagram by Raj Gupta, a cricketer himself, who performed the step along with Ayush Gupta.

The two men recreated the move popularised by Pakistani cricketer Haris Rauf and later mimicked by Indian pacer Arshdeep Singh during the Asia Cup 2025.

The step, originally performed by Haris Rauf, became the subject of banter when Arshdeep Singh mocked it.

After India’s nail-biting win against Pakistan in the Asia Cup final, Arshdeep shared multiple clips on social media featuring himself, Tilak Varma, Abhishek Sharma, and Kuldeep Yadav recreating the gesture.

India’s players took the joke further as Arshdeep, Harshit Rana, and Jitesh Sharma were also seen imitating Pakistan spinner Abrar Ahmed’s celebration style. Jasprit Bumrah joined in by giving Haris Rauf a taste of his own medicine with the crashing gesture.

Fans have been quick to connect the Mumbai duo’s Garba video to the playful rivalry between the two cricket teams.

With cricket and Navratri colliding in the viral video, the ‘jet-crash’ step is yet another example that India–Pakistan cricket rivalry finds expression well beyond the game.
