Sky Sports: Arsenal Hold Talks to Sign No.10 who 'Walks Into Every PL XI'

Arsenal have held exploratory talks about signing Wolverhampton Wanderers forward Matheus Cunha this summer, Sky Sports journalist Kaveh Solhekol has revealed.

The Gunners are believed to be among a host of Premier League clubs interested in the 25-year-old attacker, who has now emerged as a concrete transfer target for Manchester United.

Cunha is expected to leave Wolves after the season despite signing a new long-term contract in January, and he has a £62.5m release clause.

He is reportedly keen on a move to Old Trafford regardless of whether Man United qualify for European football next season and could soon become their first summer signing under Ruben Amorim.

According to Solhekol, at least four Premier League clubs want to sign Cunha this summer, including Arsenal, Man United and Aston Villa:

Cunha, praised as ‘exceptional’, has been superb for Wolves this season, scoring 16 goals and providing four assists in 31 appearances across all competitions.

The Brazilian forward, who 'walks into every Premier League XI', was heavily linked with a Molineux exit in January but ended up signing a new contract until June 2029.

Arsenal are expected to address their striker concerns this summer and pursue a replacement for Kai Havertz and Gabriel Jesus, who are both out with long-term injuries.

The Gunners are believed to have several high-profile names on their shortlist, including Newcastle United’s Alexander Isak, who remains Mikel Arteta’s ‘dream’ target.
