'I always have a little more in my tank when I play here'

Oval Invincibles' Nathan Sowter speaking on BBC Two: "It's an incredible season again. I think it's credit to all of the boys because every game someone different has stood up. I don't know what to say, it's quite emotional coming back to Lord's. I always have a little more in my tank when I play here so coming back here is really lovely."

On bowling in tandem with leg spinners like Rashid Khan and Adam Zampa: "It's quite daunting at times. I'm thinking: 'Oh god, they're coming after me!' Those two have been incredible. Playing with Zampa over the last two or three seasons, it's just been you do your thing and I'll do my thing.

"It was something else playing with Rashid this year, I was watching the best T20 player in the world go about his business. I was also trying to challenge myself to see if I could match him in games, so that was my goal throughout the year. After that, the results look after themselves."

On how he stays motivated: "Over the last couple of years, it's been credit to Durham for truly letting me free. They let me do my thing through the winter so it's a lot to do with them. They allow me to give full energy where I can and I'm not playing four-day cricket anymore which takes the pressure off."
