Pakistan vs Sri Lanka Live Score: Ahead of the first ODI against Sri Lanka, Pakistan coach Mike Hesson spoke to the broadcasters, saying his team have found their mojo back after losing themselves in the middle after series wins against Australia and South Africa.

Here's what he said: We always talk about winning series and although we haven’t been perfect, we’ve fronted up at the right times. Winning series is something we haven’t done for a while, so I’m really pleased with that. But I still know there’s work to do. Look, we’re always trying to evolve, no doubt about that. I think one-day cricket is something we haven’t really mastered over the last year or so. After the series wins in Australia and South Africa, we sort of went missing a bit. So we’re back to being a bit more disciplined with the ball. From a batting point of view, it’s about taking a little more ownership.

Pakistan vs Sri Lanka Live Score: Before the first ODI, Pakistan captain Shaheen Afridi said that his team will look to take confidence from the victory against the Proteas. However, he also cautioned his side not to get complacent against the Islanders.

“The series win against South Africa in Faisalabad was a great boost for our confidence. It was my first series as ODI captain and I was really proud of the way the players responded to different situations and played as a unit. The energy, intent and teamwork were outstanding. Going into the Sri Lanka series, our focus is to carry that winning momentum forward. We want to build consistency in our performances and make sure that we keep improving as a team in every department," he said.

“Sri Lanka are a disciplined side and always challenge you with their skills. We will need to play smart cricket, stick to our plans and stay positive. The goal is to keep developing as a team and to continue giving our fans performances they can be proud of," he added.

Pakistan vs Sri Lanka Live Score: Days before the commencement of the ODI series against Sri Lanka, the Pakistan management released Hasan Nawaz from the squad. He was released to participate in the ongoing Quaid-e-Azam Trophy – the country’s premier first-class tournament.

In the three matches against South Africa, Nawaz managed just six runs, scoring 5 and 1 in the second and third ODIs against the Proteas.

Pakistan vs Sri Lanka Live Score: Babar Azam will look to find his mojo in the ODI series against Sri Lanka after an underwhelming series against the Proteas. In the three matches, the former Pakistan captain returned with scores of 7, 11, and 27, aggregating just 45 runs.

Babar Azam's last international century came in August 2023 during the Asia Cup against Nepal. Since then, the three figure mark has kept on alluding him.
