Man City set to sanction four transfers to raise excitement levels

Manchester City will likely allow four stars of the future to leave on loan this summer

Claudio Echeverri could be part of an exciting crop of Manchester City stars heading out on loan next season

Hands up if you closely followed Issa Kabore at Werder Bremen last season? Or Kayky at Bahia? No? Well some of those who depart Manchester City on loan next term will certainly be worth keeping an eye on.

That is nothing against Kabore or Kayky, but both had two loan exits last season alone and have now tallied 10 in total between them since arriving at the Etihad. Neither are likely to be first team players for City.

This summer it will be different. City are on the cusp of securing their fifth addition of a window and their first solely focussed on the future. While Tijjani Reijnders, Rayan Cherki and Rayan Ait-Nouri were all signed for the here and now and 33-year-old Marcus Bettinelli to plug a squad gap, the addition of Nypan is for the long haul.

The talented teenager was wanted by many of Europe's biggest clubs before City decisively pounced for his services in recent days. He will cost £12.5million and will depart on loan next term.

The Norway Under-21 star already has more than 60 senior appearances for Rosenborg to his name and City will have no trouble finding a club for him. At just 18, he is raw but has the talent and potential to reach the top of the game.

His next move will be important for club and individual and that's why it will be fascinating to see how the midfielder fares. He could very conceivably be a first team player for City down the line.

Nypan will not be the only one either. Claudio Echeverri announced his arrival at City with a debut in the FA Cup final and the Argentine is part of the Club World Cup squad.

He arrived in January following an agreement reached 12 months earlier, and spent the second half of last term training with the first team squad. It's possible he plays his way into Pep Guardiola's first team thinking given the impact he has evidently had on his manager, but the most likely next step for the 19-year-old playmaker is a loan exit.

He too has a prospective big future at the Etihad and his position, talent and easy on the eye style will mean he will garner plenty of attention once he is playing regular first team football.

Defensive duo Vitor Reis and Juma Bah, both 19, are also set for loan exits. The latter spent time with Lens after arriving at City in January and has already been linked with a reunion with his old boss Will Still at Southampton.

Reis also joined City in January and was part of the first team group, making his debut in the FA Cup at Leyton Orient and featuring twice more, including off the bench in the Premier League win over Leicester City.

The Brazilian is not yet deemed ready for regular football at the Etihad and will be another who can benefit from a loan switch.

The quartet are an exciting crop of potential first team stars at City and loan exits can help them take their first steps towards that goal. Their performances will be followed closely by staff and fans alike.
