Edwards has admired Boro's following from afar in the past and was blown away when he discovered more than 8,000 tickets had been sold for this month's pre-season friendly at Rangers.And season ticket sales for next term are also positive, with the current take-up - north of 17,000 - very similar to last season's numbers after the initial early bird period."The fans are the most important people at any football club because they’re there before us and they’ll be there long after us as well," said boss Edwards, who has promised brave and attacking football at the Riverside this season."We want to get that crowd onside and making a hell of a lot of noise for us.
