Liverpool, Arsenal or Man City: Kylian Mbappe Picks His 2025-26 Premier League Winners

After Liverpool won it at a relative canter last time out, the 2025/26 Premier League campaign is underway. The Reds will be looking to retain their status as the champions, while Manchester City and Arsenal will be looking to spoil the party. But which team does Kylian Mbappe think will reign supreme come May?

Given the size and stature of England’s top flight, it will forever remain of interest to football’s biggest stars – and Mbappe, a goalscoring phenomenon for Real Madrid, is among those keeping an eye on who is crowned the champions of England.

GIVEMESPORT Key Statistic: Manchester United – who have won 13 titles since 1992 – are the record winners of the Premier League. All were won under Sir Alex Ferguson.

Chelsea – reigning champions of the Club World Cup after beating Paris Saint-Germain – are hoping to upset the applecart near the summit of England’s primary division, too, but it’ll likely be one of Liverpool, City or Arsenal that will secure gold.

Mbappe Singles Out His Predicted Winner of 2025/26 Premier League

Will the addition of the sharpshooting centre-forward Alexander Isak make it a walk in the park for Slot and Co? Will Guardiola win one last title and walk away from his role at the Etihad Stadium? Will Arsenal finally end their silverware drought by winning the biggest prize of all?

Of course, as fans, we will find out in May 2026 – but that hasn’t stopped Mbappe, 26 and formerly of Monaco and PSG – from making a predicted a mere three matches into the campaign.

Speaking to German publication Bild, per The Metro, the Los Blancos superstar – widely regarded as one of the quickest players in football history – highlighted that none other than Slot’s men are going to be there or thereabouts. He said the same about Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal.

“Of course, Liverpool has to be mentioned first and foremost, as they're determined to win one title after another. But I also have high hopes for Arsenal, because the core of the team has known each other for a long time, and that's a crucial factor in football.”

Guardiola’s City are the only team in the history of the Premier League to win a total of four titles on the bounce – 2020/21; 2021/22; 2022/23 and 2023/24 – and that combined with the lethal nature of his footballing rival, Erling Haaland, meant that Mbappe’s hand was forced into mentioning them as title contenders too. He continued: “And Manchester City is always at the forefront anyway, with Pep Guardiola and Erling Haaland.”

When quizzed on an outright winner, Mbappe went rogue and believes that Arsenal, who have finished 2nd in back-to-back-to-back Premier League campaigns, will manage to buck that trend this time around by finishing the season at the top of the three; something they haven't done since 2003/04.

“That’s tough. Maybe Arsenal, maybe it will be their year. It would certainly be easier to say City or Liverpool.”

At the time of writing, Slot's men, having beaten the likes of Bournemouth and Newcastle United, are the only team that have won three games from three; Arsenal's 1-0 loss to Liverpool recently brought an end to their winning streak and City have picked up just three points from their opening trio of matches against Wolverhampton Wanderers, Tottenham Hotspur and Brighton & Hove Albion. They face Manchester United next.
