Manchester United's squad value has been revealed, according to reports, amid speculation Sir Jim Ratcliffe is preparing a first team fire sale this summer.

The Red Devils have suffered a rocky season under Erik ten Hag, with the team currently in sixth place and 13 points off fourth-placed Aston Villa, with a 1-1 draw at home to Burnley only adding pressure on the Dutch boss.

United have also looked shaky during other poor results in the last month, including a 4-3 loss to Chelsea, a 2-2 draw to Bournemouth and a nervy penalty shootout win over Championship side Coventry in the FA Cup semi-finals - having surrended a 3-0 lead to draw 3-3 at Wembley.

Those poor displays and underpar performances from certain individuals - including Marcus Rashford and Casemiro - have resulted in reports that Ratcliffe is ready to put nearly the entire squad up for sale, with the exception of three players.

Just three players - Kobbie Mainoo, Alejandro Garnacho and Rasmus Hojlund - have reportedly been spared from the chopping block, with Mail Sport's Chris Wheeler reporting that selling Rashford is a possibility.

And a study from the CIES Football Observatory and BBC Sport has revealed how much United could get from their misfiring players - with Rashford topping that list at a surprising £106million, despite his underwhelming displays this season.

Rashford has seven goals and two assists in this campaign, with just four coming in this calendar year, though it's understood that United continue to believe in Rashford and want him to succeed after investing so heavily in him with a bumper new contract.

The second most valuable is striker Rasmus Hojlund, worth £93m - having only just joined the Red Devils from Atalanta last summer for £72m. Unlike many other disappointing players this season, the 21-year-old Danish star has looked more promising, with 14 goals in all competitions.

Alejandro Garnacho, another of United's more promising players, is third with a £92m valuation after a campaign that has seen him score nine times and provide four assists.

Talisman and captain Bruno Fernandes is only worth £60m in the study by CIES, while fellow midfielder Scott McTominay is rated at £46m

Alongside Rashford in the more surprising valuations is Brazilian winger Antony, who has returned to the first team fold in recent months and is now rated at £63m, with full-back Diogo Dalot at £61m.

Despite his stellar performances and reputation as United's talisman, captain Bruno Fernandes is worth just £60m, while rising star Kobbie Mainoo is rated at £45m.

Towards the bottom of the pile is Anthony Martial and Raphael Varane at £11m, Aaron Wan-Bissaka at £10m and Christian Eriksen at £7m.

Reports of the squad's value comes after Ratcliffe and club director Sir Dave Brailsford were spotted at a dinner on Wednesday night amid talk of United chiefs plotting a big revamp of the team this summer.

Ratcliffe and Brailsford - alongside Jean-Claude Blanc, set to become the club's interim CEO until July 13 - were spotted at The Ivy in Manchester in what was billed as a 'working dinner'.

Ratcliffe and his Ineos group have made significant changes since taking charge of football operations at Old Trafford after the British billionaire bought a 27.7 per cent stake in the club.

Brailsford, Ineos director of sport, has taken a key role as part of the new regime at Man United, while Omar Berrada will take over as CEO this summer.

Jason Wilcox, meanwhile, who worked with Berrada at City as head of the club's academy, has already moved from Southampton to take over as technical director from Darren Fletcher, although United hope the former Scotland midfielder will accept a different role at the club.

The club are believed to be keen to sign a new striker, central midfielder and right-sided centre back but may be unable to splash big fees like in recent years.
