The 2025 Miami Open is the second ATP Masters 1000 tournament of the season. Main draw action will begin on March 19 with a strong field of players headed by World No. 2 Alexander Zverev.

Former champions Carlos Alcaraz, Novak Djokovic, and Daniil Medvedev will be among the top 10 seeds. Defending champion Jannik Sinner misses out as he serves a three-month suspension over his two failed drugs tests from last season. The tournament has also released a list of five wild cards that will be part of the men’s draw.

Unsurprisingly, the first name is that of Learner Tien. The 19-year-old has enjoyed a breakout season on tour in 2025, reaching the second week of the Australian Open on his debut and defeating two Top 10 players already. Tien will play in the Miami Open for the first time.

The second of three Americans on this list is Christopher Eubanks. It was in Miami a couple of seasons where Eubanks went on a sensational run to his first ATP Masters quarterfinal (from qualifying). The result served as a launchpad for the 28-year-old to make his Top 30 debut later that season. It’s been over a month since Eubanks recorded a main draw win at Tour level. Maybe he’ll find his groove in Miami.

The third American wild card is Eliot Spizzirri. The 23-year-old played college tennis with distinction at the University of Texas until his graduation in May 2024. He finished as the top-ranked singles player in the ITA rankings for two successive seasons. This season, he lifted his first Challenger title in San Diego.

The fourth wild card has gone to China’s Yibing Wu. The one-time ATP titlist hasn’t featured in 2025. His last match was in Shanghai towards the end of last season. He only played 14 matches in 2024 because of multiple injuries.

The second teenager on this list is Federico Cina. He’s an up-and-coming 17-year-old from Italy who is a former junior World No. 4. Cina owns two ITF titles and has never played on the ATP Tour. He has featured sporadically on the Challenger level.
