Nottingham Forest fans all saying the same thing about Dan Ndoye after 0-0 draw vs Fiorentina

Nottingham Forest were held to a goalless draw against Serie A giants Fiorentina on Tuesday evening.

Nuno Espirito Santo’s side haven’t had the most productive pre-season results-wise, having failed to win in six games.

In fact, Nottingham Forest have scored just one goal all summer, and that came in a 3-1 defeat to Fulham in Portugal.

Although, new signing Dan Ndoye has now been bedded into the squad and is expected to be a real threat down the right flank this season.

Ndoye started against Fiorentina last night, and Forest supporters all said the same thing about his performance.

Nottingham Forest fans so impressed by Dan Ndoye vs Fiorentina

Ndoye’s 64-minute display against the Italian outfit certainly got fans excited, as they took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to praise the Switzerland international.

“Ndoye is a massive upgrade on Elanga. We desperately need a quick striker though,” @RichardWhite21 said.

@nunosbaldhead added: “Ndoye is actually better than Elanga and that’s no insult to Elanga.”

@JCReilly31 commented: “Ndoye just looks like he was born in red shirt. Been brilliant. Jesus smart in his movement and link-up. Anderson just running the show. Neco been class too.”

“I’ve seen enough Ndoye is a future Ballon d’Or,” @KBRedDog

“Playing well. Ndoye looks a handful,” @hannahforest noted.

@SarcasticForest joked: “I’m not one to exaggerate but I really can see Dan Ndoye winning us the international World Cup.”

Dan Ndoye could face fresh competition for a starting spot

Given Ndoye cost around £37m, it’s pretty likely that he will be the first-choice winger. However, Forest are looking to bring in competition on the right flank.

Forest are in talks to sign Adama Traore from Fulham, with Nuno keen to reunite with his former Wolves attacker.

It’s also being reported that Baris Alper Yilmaz has agreed a deal to join the Tricky Trees after his sensational season with Galatasaray.

Yilmaz registered 20 goal involvements in 48 outings for the Turkish giants, so Ndoye could be about to face some serious competition for a starting spot.

Indeed, Nuno and his chiefs are evidently building a squad that can compete on all four fronts, with Europa League football on the horizon, pending CAS’s decision involving Crystal Palace.
